Dr Granquist did a tmj surgery and then someone called and cancelled my follow up appointment saying he’d be out of the office and someone would call to reschedule. No one called. Meanwhile pain is WORSE than before the surgery and I’ve left multiple voicemails and NO ONE has returned a single one. DO NOT GO HERE.

He performed bilateral tmj joint replacement surgery on my 2019. 8 surgeries later and still look deformed. Tried to leave a review on Penn website. I could not.

8 SURGERIES 8/2019 was first, 3/2025 was my latest surgery, This has been a NIGHTMARE. Without checking in with me before the surgery, Dr. Eric Granquist at Penn Med in PA, decided to completely change the surgery. He decided to NOT fix my deformed face he caused. I was sort of pretty before I met him. After implanting TMJ replacement joints on both sides Sept. 2019. I started having problems with screws coming loose (twice) 5 surgeries more plus took implant out, home IV antibiotics with my haw wired. Never had an infection. Thought I was stuck then the bottom metal pieces of the implants moved and were stabbing my ear canals. Met with him January 2025. He agreed they were hurting my ears, he promised me he would move the implants forward and adjust my jaw forward and down so I don’t look like a freak. Was concerned when I didn’t see him before of after the procedure. WITHOUT my consent he changed the surgery. HE made it worse. No one would talk to me about what happened, I asked to speak to a hospital administrator. Oh sorry they arent here today. DO NOT TRUST THE TMJ department at PENN Medicine in Pennsylvania, especially Dr. Eric Granquist. He needs to b

he is the best tmj doctor. waiting for the results of my bilateral arthroplasty as it was just done today but the bilateral arthroscopy and bilateral lidocaine injections were done fantasticly. i know because of my inflammatory arthritis i will be back for a joint replacement on the left side in the future (my age and the lack of technology that’s out now he’s not comfortable with doing it at the moment which i understand as the tmj joint is under hard constant stress, but besides my anxiety disorders and autism, i feel completely fine and even safe being in his hands in the OR, he is the only one i trust to do a replacement. his whole team is fantastic really i’ve been working with them for a while now. i will update if i can once my bilateral arthroplasty heals and will let everyone one know the A+ job (i know he will have) on the “mess” he had to clean up in especially my left joint space. thank you so much doctor granquest (hope i spelled that right) and thank you to your team for all the help and care.

10 years ago he replaced my jaw and last year he put an apparatus in my left side of my jaw and this year and apparatus in the right side of my jaw he's done in phenomenal job! I can't thank him enough for what he's done for me. He's a credit to his profession and has excellent patient relationships
